How can a team giving up 56 points per game be getting 11 from any team ...........??

How can a team allowing 14 fewer points than its opposition averages be getting dd in what they will try to make a half court game..........??

How can a team with a fg% better than 50% = to the opp be getting dd.........?? etc., etc., etc.,

1. In conference Pitt gives up 65, last 5 average is 62 and CT scores 18 more than the opp gives up.........That means CT could hit 80 tonight (would not surprise)

2. CT does a lot of things better than Pitt....in fact....most everything and tonight Pitt may have to depend on their perimeter shooting.......not good

CT......tonight will OWN the boards, will shoot a much higher % from 3, will have more assisted points, more points in the paint, more steals and more blocks:nono: CT schedule has been a little tougher than Pitts and the difference in these categories is significant.

CT may even beat Pitt at the foul line:rolleyes:

CT lost at Miami 2 days after losing to NC last year as D Rice hit them with 43 points...........but this year is different......... and I think Pitt is in trouble tonight.

I like CT to cover the big spread......11

this line clearly says "connecticut or pass" in my opinion. this is almost the exact same situation as duke/wake forest last year. wake went into cameron undefeated with a record of 10-0. they were getting double digits in that game. and they got smashed.
i think theres a reason a team with an unblemished record is getting DDs here. gl bear

gman....

That alone ........the dd spread ...after the loss..... to an undefeated team ........that owned them last year......... is a VERY large factor in shaping my thoughts on this game.... in addition to the fact that CT is much better than last year and Pitt is down slightly. imho

bera and gman.....totally agree. this line screams pittsburgh. ANYONE can see that. I dont have the guts to sit there and hope a team can keep it close when I dont think they have a SNOWBALLS chance of winning outright.

looks like uconn is still trying to put all that talent together. they had stretches in that game where they looked dominant, but seems like they turn it on/off too much. dont sweat it.

Congrats to all who backed Pitt tonight!

Good team!......I'll most likely, be on CT at pitt however...Ct has work to do but they have a lot more than Pitt.
Calhoun needs to discipline his troops.........get 40 minutes from them, or there will be more losses this year..............That said, there is no team with more natural talent! Won the first half by 7, did not play well and gave up 50% from 3.........With 1 min left in the game, Pitt, on the road, only had 3 fouls in half 2........That tells you something. CT will get better and be ready for the tournament as always......this year,......... with much more firepower!
Pitt played well and deserved the cover. I won't, however, back CT till I see more and better on a consistent basis.
