Great long relief stint here by Thisisbad..appreciate your hard work to keep this thread going.

As for banning the favorites...I don't like banning or restricting them at all. I know it is disastrous to play em all daily but there is some situational plays that I think the big chalk is sometimes the play. Let all the potential plays stand.....check someone's units and you will generally see that if they are really minus it was the bad misfourtune of the chalk eating them up. The TB/Seattle series last week comes to mind when incredibly TB took back to back plays costing at least 5-6 units. Money/unit management is crucial to this sport.....allowing the chance to play the field is important and also respecting those players who tout value when they make their pick.

Don't really like anybody for today, but strongly opposed to banning big -200 or above faves. I see no point in that whatsoever as heavy faves, in my opinion, OFTEN qualify as the BEST single play of the day.

As far as banning the favorites, I guess I agree that any restrictions on this thread would probably be a mistake. That said, there are some that look only to pad their records by taking the biggest favorite almost everyday. This hurts the thread, IMO. Anyone can pick a large chalk in the consensus thread, but it is a different story when you go to make actual bets. Most knowledgable bettors with a limited bankroll are not too anxious to lay 300 to win 100, or even 200 to win 100. So, in conclusion, I hope everyone who reads this will lay off the large chalk for the good of the consensus.
