So we had some discussion yesterday as to the extra smelly line on the Cards and just as suspected Vegas knew more than I did. Although I didn't load up because it just smelled too badly I did make a small "losing" wager on the Cards. Meanwhile, the Cubbies and Brew Crew played a LOT of scoreless innings before the Crew emerged with a 1-0 victory. I did some digging this morning and found these 2 tidbits for both games and thought I would pass it along:

The Cardinals lost 3-1 as underdogs in yesterday?s series opener. Today, they are favored and they have not disappointed in this spot. St. Louis is 16-0 before Game 125 of the season as a favorite in Game 2 of a series when it was the underdog in the opener and it has a better record than its opponent. The Reds are 0-8 before Game 100 of the season after a win as road favorites in which they scored three or fewer runs.

Milwaukee is 0-8 as a home underdog coming off a shutout win as a favorite. Chicago is a reliable 14-0 as a favorite with Kyle Hendricks starting, going 14-0 when he allowed three or fewer runs in his last start and the Cubs won.

Great info.
I?d still bet the cubs in that spot from last night 10 outta 10 times.
It was more a value bet than anything. No way the Crew should have been a -170 favorite in that spot. Had they been a -130 fav, I most likely pass on the game completely or look at a wager on the Crew a bit closer.
I watched the whole game and it was a lot of fun seeing an old school pitching duel as the modern game is slug home runs and out score the other team.

Even when I win I can't win

I always list pitchers so the Cubs game, which I was sweating balls on until the 4 run 9th, was a wash when the Brewers starter was scratched and I didn't realize until looking at the box score.....:mj16::mj16:
