taking a trip to Cooperstown tomorrow and staying the night. Any advice about the nightlife, where to go to dinner, anything i should see when i am there (besides the hall) ....etc

Have always done day trips so don't know about the nite life. Make sure you go into all the little shops. I was amazed at the memorabilia that they had also.
Make sure to see all the shops off site for souvenirs. My son got a bat with his name engrianed and Cooperstown for $20-keepsake forever. Smallish town --sure nightlife are smaller bars. Have fun
2much.....love cooperstown...besides the "Hall' across the street is Otesga Hotel..the lake is behind the hotel.Walk around the hotel,sit outside and get a drink.There lunches are good...great view of the lake...the ommeggay beer brewery is pretty nice. a friend of mine went and loved it.
All the stores along main street are nice.Right next to the hotel and the hall is the post office.go in there and see if they are still selling any 1st edition stamps and enevelpoes... i forgot who the post office just put out on a stamp....thats a nice cheap momento....have fun...

ZERO nightlife in Cooperstown..its a family-oriented place and everything(including the 2 bars on Main St) are closed by 8 PM.
Check out Cooperstown Brewery if you are into good beers as well as Ommegang Brewery for Belgian style brews.
