Here are some notes about the three games I like today. I am passing because I have not had success in the first game of series', but I want to post this anyway.
-Kansas City has struggled against lefties lately, and they struggled against Beurhle yesterday. With Sweeney out this team is vulnerable to a good lefty. Finley was rocked by the Yanks last time out, but if was mostly singles, not a barrage of homers.
-White Sox were flat called out by their TV play by play man Ken "Hawk" Harrelson after their losss yesterday. They had chance after chance to get to Byrd early and only managed 3 runs. Then they gave up 2 dingers in the ninth to lose the lead and the game. Hawk said, "We'll find out if this team has any heart," when they play in Baltimore. I think the Sox will come out big today after that.
-Ortiz comes off a terrible start but judging by his recent patterns for Anaheim, he should bounce back today. I don't know if I can say the same for Garcia, though he has snuffed the Angels historically. Angels also come off a 1-1 series in Oakland where they really should have gotten the sweep but for an incredible lack of clutch hitting yesterday.
