New York Jets C Nick Mangold said he was impressed with how QB Mark Sanchez performed during offseason workouts. ?He showed some good flashes in the spring, getting [offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg?s] system down and commanding the offense way that he should be. We?ll see how training camp plays out, but either way, the competition will make him a better player,' Mangold said. Mangold said QB Geno Smith has to work on some things before he can be a starter.

Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker hasn't missed a practice so far during his ahead-of-schedule recovery from January surgery on his non-throwing shoulder. He's keeping up with the new playbook from offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains and has cut down on his mistakes in drills.
It's a make or break season for Locker. He needs to stay healthy and play up to the level the team expects in 2013.
