Cowboys will be without there best defensive player Scandrick for first 4 games..(suspension).

Looking at them in pre-season, they have little defense WITH Scandrick. Their special team coverage is laffable. Romo looks like one good hit away from serious injury. Weeden has a live arm but little experience. Their extra talent base is exceedingly fragile and thin, thanks to Jerry's fine leadership.

It appears to me with their schedule, they go 5, maybe 6 victories.

San Francisco WILL beat them week one.....currently -5' ML -250

any opinions?

Not saying Dallas will win or cover this game, but Scandrick is not their best defensive player.

I think it's Sean Lee  He is out also

I'll take Dallas at +7 at home all day week 1 hope it gets bet up I'll buy it up if need be :0074

DeVonte Holloman retired with neck injuries

DeVonte Holloman retired with neck injuries

Did some research on Sean Lee... May 27, he had surgery for torn ACL and Miniscus tear...typically 7-9 month recovery.

DeVonte Holloman, age of 23, was viewed as Sean's possible
replacement. With a serious neck injury, he was told to retire by doctors.

This from a fantasy sport site:

"The Dallas Cowboys could possibly field the worst defense in NFL history this season.

They ranked dead last in 2013, and both free agency and injures have made their current roster a shell of what it was a year ago.
But the Cowboys lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball could very well elevate this offense?s numbers to astronomical proportions.
And the one player who will would seemingly benefit the most from this defensive debacle should be Cowboys starting quarterback Tony Romo.

As the Dallas defense struggles, opposing offenses should see their scoring chances sky rocket. In turn, the Cowboys offense will be forced to throw the ball more, meaning more chances for R0mo to garner points for your fantasy team. We are talking an offensive shoot-out every game this season."

So they will be without Scandrick for 4 weeks suspension, No Sean Lee, No Holloman....their games are going to be shootout, high scoring affairs.

First game up is San Francisco, who HAS a stout defense and an elusive run + gun QB.

second and third games at Tenn, Stl, 4th game home New Orleans.

Did my first fantasy draft ever today....kinda cool 10 Teams
$100 entry pays top 3, no one picked Dallas Defense...:142smilie

SF ML
$500 to win $200...... now seeing -255 out there, only see it going up from here.

I don't disagree but I think the better play is over 51.
SF defense is also missing several key players and hasn't looked very good in preseason. I think the total goes into the 60s.

Gonna sweat it...

Gonna sweat it...

Broke Cardinal rule....NEVER bet reg season till pre-season is finished.

I still think SF overall depth on defense carries the day....Dallas sure doesn't have one.

Tuff enuff capping, now you have to speculate off-field morality.

SF missing a few starters and good bet that McD is gonna be out as well after NFL investigates his domestic abuse arrest.

GL on this one!!
