So I finally drift off to sleep around 2am and in my dream I start to hear the cry of my 2 year old daughter. I'm then awakened by my wife and she's telling me that said daughter is outside and crying. I'm like "WTF!" so I jump out of bed and open the front door as she is walking in my direction almsot screaming. She was a little cold but she was fine, just lost and confused.

Since I specifically remember locking the door last night, she still managed to make her way outdoors by unlocking the door in her dream state. I've never sleep-walked as a kid but that was a terrifying moment as a parent.

Wow, that would scare the shit outta me.
Im waiting for something like that to happen to me with my kids since I use to sleep walk when I was young.
One night I got out of bed and found my mom in the living room, then said" Mommy, Daddys gonna kill you."
Imagine how scared she was lol.

When my 11 year old daughter was between 18 months and 2 yrs. old she got outside twice:eek: I can relate to you when you say that was scary...she woke up earlier than me, climbed out of her crib, walked down the steps and out the front door. My older brother found her down the block!!!!!!! She crossed the street and went on her merry way. Fortunately, it was on a weekend and pretty early or someone else could have found her. The other time I was doing the dishes and out the door she went. A cop was driving by and pulled over and brought her back in. Two scary instances with a happy ending..not too many people can say that, I thank God often. My other two aren't as adventurous as their older sister and I thank God for that too! :)

On the course!
That's shitty!

I would suggest that you toss a chain lock on the doors, that are outta her reach.

I'm very superstitious about things...A similiar thing happened to my daughter, but one day she was walking down the hallway and was talking (she must have been about 3) and looking up into dead space saying, "come back Cindy, come back Cindy." Tell me that doesn't raise the hairs on the back of your neck...
