Yeah, I know it's fixed
, but there's small value in these and I fancy some action while I'm watching and feeding my face (and working
) for free today at NZ v Pakistan, 3rd test in Hamilton.
NZ Opening partnership; under 26 runs - $1.75
Paki opening partnership; under 26 - $1.80
Most 1st innings runs head-to-head - S Fleming $1.80 over M Sinclair $1.90
Notable green tinge to wicket, which has definitely assisted the seamers all season long - this is my home track and I want to take some advantage of the hours I've spent covering cricket here this year
NZ opening partnership of Bell and Richardson has compiled 3 consecutive partnerships over 50 which, bizarrely, is an NZ test record
But they will find the swinging, seaming new ball from Waqar Younis and Mohammad Sami hell this morning if they bat. Fancy a nick early or an lbw. Similarly, while newcomer Imran Farhat looks classy for Pakistan, his fellow opener may be Ijaz Ahmed, who while being a quality middle order bat isn't well equipped technically to handle the moving ball early, and both Daryl Tuffey (on his home strip) and Chris Martin have had good success on this deck in recent times. Groundman Doug Strachan told me Sunday there would definitely be movement and carry for the quicks early. That's why I also like Fleming, who is far more technically proficient than Sinclair, who has limited foot movement (albeit good hand-eye coordination). Expect Sinclair (No3) to be in early - re first bet! - creating greater problems v new ball. Hopefully by the time Flem comes in at No 4 he won't need much to win. These bets stand if NZ bat 2nd too - pitch has offered movement for the seamers thru-out all 4 days of Shell Trophy play here this season.
