England, u.k.
The supersixes start Friday 7th March with two games that catch the eye.

Australia and Sri Lanka start the proceedings 02:30 ET. Australia have won 12 consecutive one day international games which is a record. They usually start tournament's slowly and often have one or two hic-ups along the way. They have been close to losing two games already, firstly against Pakistan when 160 for 6 and Symonds saved the day and then 135 - 8 against England and Bichael came to the rescue. What has been evident is that it is the lesser known stars that have come to the fore front for Australia and as the competiton progresses these Aussie's will be harder to beat.
Sri Lanka were the last side to beat Australia but since then their batting has become vulnable, especially the middle order. Their bowling attack is light weight compared to other teams in the competition and they rely on their batting to set high totals and then take the pace off the ball as the other teams innings progresses.
For Sri Lanka to win this game they must bat first, however Centurian Park is not a ground that will suit them. It has been hard and bouncey which suits Australia down to the ground. India were bowled all out by Australia here in the group stages for 125 and they have one of the best batting line ups of all the teams that took part.
Sporting odds offer a stand out bet on Australia in their handicap market and this is where we will invest our money.

1 point win AUSTRALIA -3.5 wickets / -40.5 runs @ 10/11

The second game India vs. Kenya starts at 07:00ET and is a day / night game. Apart from losing to Australia, India have won their remaining 5 games and won them with ease. as I said above they have probably the second best batting side in the competiton and have adjusted well to the hard bouncy wickets away from their native dry wickets of the sub continent.
Kenya caused the biggest shock of the tournament when they beat Sri Lanka, and in all truth Sri Lanka performed well below standard with once again their batting folding like a pack of cards. The standard of Kenya can be put into perspective from two sides that have been eliminated from the competition due to the weather. South Africa beat them by 9 wickets chasing 140 and achieving their target inside 25 overs and then West Indies beat Kenya by 150 runs. Once again we will play in the handicap market with Ladbrokes.

1 point win INDIA -6.5 wickets / -110.5 runs @ 5/6

Well this morning start as well as I hoped. Australia dominated a Sri Lankan side not on no occassion threatened. It goes to show how week Group B was in the opening stage.

England dominated Sri Lanka last Summer, they beat them again in Australia, yet Sri Lanka win group B and England are left to come home. Further more England will be the only one's in this competition to have come the closest to beating the Champs.

India although coming through to win the game, lost early wickets and so the bet was a loser.

One out of two on the day and a loss of 0.091 points.

the land of confusion
Australia versus New Zealand in a couple of hours time. Kiwis love to beat us Aussies and always pull out a little extra.

Kiwis getting +3.5 wickets / +35.5 runs @ even money at Sporting Odds seems worth a nibble to me.

I would expect us to drop at least one game on our way to the World Title!!! :D

Wouldn't be surprised if this is the one.

What was I thinking??

Now when the Aussies are on the canvas at 7 for 84, one could be forgiven for heading to the cashiers window!! Who would have thought that they could get back up and post a respectable total of 208. Then the Kiwis come to the crease and get skittled for a meager 112!!!

Why don't the organisers just save everyone some time and hand the cup back to the reigning champs and then everyone can go home early!!!

:hail AUSSIES!!!
