You are a kentucky guy right?

Help me sound more educated on this team tomorrow. ..

Is this their best team ever?

Had big debate at work which im sure will resume tomorrow morning... It was 630 AM so I may have been crazy but this team while its dominant I just thought I remembrred a few teams being just as great....I was on that side of argument....great but not best ever.....but are they?


Two guys not only said this was best UK team ever, but also said this is best team ever...in ncaa history....i dont know but always defer to the more knowledgeable posters in regards to hoops....


Whats opinions on this group of phenoms?

Yeah I would say the last unc team to win it with hansbourgh and the 2001 duke team for example would be a no brainier favorite in a hypothetical game

i'll take the 2001 Arizona team over this Kentucky team as well.

LOTS of historically great teams in the past, and don't forget.....MOST of those teams featured multiple future nba players who were jr's and sr's in college while this Kentucky team is mostly frosh/soph

MY 2CENTS WORTH. THE GREATEST TEAM EVER BEATS DECENT TEAMS AND DOES SO WITH NOT MUCH SWEAT. A&M AND OLE MISS TOOK KY TO OVERTIME WITH OLE MISS DOING IT AT KY. LSU GAVE THEM ALL THEY WANTED LAST NIGHT. I DONT THINK THIS TEAM IS THE BEST TEAM EVER. MAYBE IF THEY ALL STAYED TOGETHER FOR 2 MORE YEARS WE CAN DISCUSS IT THEN. SORRY FOR THE CAPPS.

I would take Tarks UNLV Running Rebs of 89-90...

The 95- 96 KY team was good, The KY team with Anthony Davis... The problem with this KY team is that there is no REAL star power. When you need to put them on your shoulders whose shoulders are they going to be? Remember Jamal Mashburn? Anthony Davis?

Greatest teams ever: Florida 2007, 1982-83 Houston team (Hakeem), Kentucky 95-96 team , UNLV 89-90, and the Lew Alcindor UCLA teams and Probably the Bill Walton UCLA teams...

If this Kentucky team runs the table in regular season and then loses in conference tourney and then wins the national title they will become a top 5 team ever. IMHO.

They are one of the best DEFENSIVE teams ever.

Their defensive rating has gone down steadily for the past month so it's not even guaranteed they will end up having the best defense this year alone

This is a great Kentucky team! The extent is yet to be defined. I do not want to say much as the season is not over and i have been disappointed before. The 96 team was definitely one of the greatest if not the greatest UK team. I do think to be remembered as "a or the greatest" team you have to win the title. We have had some great teams that exited early and are forgotten. 1984, tubby had a couple good ones in the 2001-2003 area that exited to uab and d wade at marquette. So ask me this question in 2 months.....Go Cats!!! We may be watching history!

Just saw this Addict. I'm not as knowledgeable on this topic as others; so it's hard for me to say. I could tell you about what I thought was our best football team; that's easy, not that many. 1977 with Art Still and that bunch; held opponents to 10 point something points a game, swept, with ease, the conference schedule and beat Penn St back to back in 76' & 77' when Penn St was really good. Thanks for giving me the excuse to say this; sorry I can't help more with hoops.
