The Giants acquired right-handed reliever LaTroy Hawkins from the Chicago Cubs for right-handers Jerome Williams and David Aardsma.

Man....you Cub fans sure were rough on this guy.....yea he blew a couple saves, but the guy has an ERA in the low 3's and gave good relief when not asked to close games (which is not his natural role anyways) If anyone, you should hate Dusty who asked him to pitch out of his natural setup role. The guy is a VERY good pitcher, and of course the Cubs ruined him. I will lay the farm that he is LIGHTS OUT in SF
When Borowski got hurt last year, Hawkins said I can close, but we are gonna struggle to find someone to do my job. He has a problem between his ears. As far as the fans, he had plenty of chances to win them over, his arrogant attitude and lack of performance, or an off-speed pitch, for that matter, is why he is gone. Good riddance.
LOL......I definatly agree that the guy has a problem between the ears. The guy can be lights out in a setup role, but cant close? Hey, you guys should have sent him to the Reds....we could have given you Danny Graves?? LMFAO
