Cuse -3 over Rutgers
Rutgers is on a down slide.Has lost 6 in a row,5 in the BE.Lost at the Rac 4 times already.Team is in disarry with walters changing the lineup the past 2 games.Coleman was benched vs WV but he had 27 pts.But many were to late.Team plays good defense,has good shooters if they don't "gun" the ball but shot selection is horrible.Shields,Sherrod,Wiggans can all dribble and shoot.Lama-lama-ding dong is half the time in the ozone.A 6'9 shooter with pt gd mentality.But he can run the floor and block shots.But there post players are terrible in Axani and Wright.No scoring from them even though a few games ago Wright looked good.
Cuse comes in loaded.Carmelo is a force anywhere on the floor.McNamara is unreal.What a shooter and passer.Then you have the "greyhounds" in warrick,Duany,etc.Throw in Edelin because he will have a breakout game.Post players are weak in Forth,McNiel,etc
Cuse zone moves so well and the wings are big.Rutgers does have shooters and penetrating gds to give the Cuse a game.But inside scoring of the Cuse will win this.I loved it the other nite when Boe posted Anthony inside.
Cuse wins this on the road.
Rider +4 over Marist.
Rider has lost last 8 of 9 games.They rank right next to marist in almost every catogory in the MAAC.Both teams are dead last in about 10 of those catogories.They do rank 1 and 2 in 3 pt shots made.But in 3 pt % Rider is in 10th place shooting 28%.Marist is 3rd shooting 35%.
Marist is last in defense giving up 78 pts a game.
Rider has won once in the past 12 yrs poughkeepsie and that was last yr.
Imagine these 2 teams won the MAAC lyr.
Johnson is tough .Taylor and Young can shoot.Reed is the 6'10 kid in the middle that leads the MAAC in rebounding.Yet rider is in last place in rebounding.Nobody goes to the bds but Reed.
Foxes have Eppehimer a great outside shooter.Ellerbee is a tough little gd.Bennet is avg 12 pts and Young can only score within 6 ft of the basket.I think Marist wins this game but I like the 4 pts.And if Johnson can stay in control he can dominate the gd play and give the Broncos a rare road win.
Cinncy -4.5 over DePaul-just think the Bearkats defense will punish DePaul.Way to physical for them.Huggy Bear doesn't have the off.weapons other then Stokes.But his kids can play flat out defense.
St joes -5.5 over george Washington-stop Monroe and Joes gds of West and Nelson are way to much.
Drexal -6.5 over ODU..
James Madison -7.5 over W&M
Loy Md +1 over St pete-both are the 2 worst teams in the MAAC.Go with the home team.
