the knicks may have the mavericks number but how awful was the game against the heat this week. they are near the bottom of the league while the league's strongest team comes in after a good win last night in philly. dallas continues to roll in this one and thru the weekend. ill take

I think the line is low because there is a commonly-used system, called the "3 in 4" system, which comes into play tonight. You bet the home team where the following is true:

1. Away team in favored
2. Away team is playing its third game in four days
3. Away team played the previous day and won.

The system is supposedly 12-1 this year, although I don't have the statistics to back that up.

Both the Knicks and Hawks fall under that system tonight, or at least so I read on another site.
