I am 1-5 in this series selections with the lone W picking Dallas in Game 1.

All the teams that needed to win, won yesterday. I thought the same of Portland in Game 3 and we know what happened. This Portland team doesn't possess a lot of heart. The make-up of this team allows them to give up too easily when down late in games. Team chemistry is just horrible.

I would bring out the broom here, but again, some one has to pay these "mooks" the cash. Where's the money going to come from if this series is shut down?

Let's go over the total in this one. Portland defense was horrendous in Game 3. R. Wallace allowed D. Nowitzki to go off again on him, without any shame. It seems Dallas can name their score, which assuredly will be 100+ points.

The main reason for this pick is it's Game 4. If Portland is down late in the fourth, they will fowl (yes, FOWL because they stink) and Dallas leads the NBA in free-throw percentage. If Portland is up late in the fourth, Dallas has put up 90+ on the scoreboard already.

Game 5: Dallas -8.5 (3 units)

The over was well in hand until that pathetic display by the Mavericks in the 2H of Game 4. They managed only 10 points in the 3rd and 17 in the 4th. I don't like to think this way, but it seemed all that was by design. M. Cuban and the NBA got what they wanted from Game 4.

Portland is done! Dallas (the more "attractive" team) advances to the next round.
