Anyone have a thought regarding the Stars tonight, having lost their long-time coach?
Do you fade Dallas, as with a new coach, they may be a bit dis-organized? Or do they rally around him and play a bit harder?
Dallas has a great all-time record against Anaheim, going 16-2-1 at home. That was all at their old place. Stars have struggled in their new arena this year [9-9-4-3]. The loss of Hull has hurt their offense and they have only averaged 2.7 goals for, and allowed 2.6 goals against. It appears that Turco may play goal tonight, but I have not confirmed this...
Ducks are ML +240 at Olympic...and +.5 [+165]
Ducks #5 PK vs. Stars #6 PP may be the key - they come of a nice OT win WED vs. MINNY. Last game a 2-2 tie at ANA in NOV...

No cuz Turco is a solid goalie IMO. Also, it's very normal for a team to play above their recent levels with a new coach on the bench. With shitty teams, this lasts for about 10 games before they fall back to their old habits. With quality teams like the Stars, it might be the spark they need.
But unless you have other trends/analysis supporting a play on the Ducks, I wouldnt bet on them based on the firing of Hitchcock.

You have got to lean with Dallas. As well, I think alot of players will be relieved to have Hitch gone. Look at how many players have already been traded this year and each one that left had nothing good to say about the man. Looks like Gainey kept trading the unhappy players but it came to a halt when Hitch called out Modano. Go with Dallas. They will play for their new coach since many of them in that dressing room had waited for a while to see Hitch get fired.

If I remember correctly, Tiger had mentioned before that this is very good trend to play on. Taking a team in their first game with a new coach that is.
