Rice -4 over Utah Valley *****
When the line came out at Southpoint I just jumped on it because I knew that line it would go up....it did to -4.5...so I played ***** boxes on -4 and another few on -4.5 late yesterday...today I think it might go up to -5 or -5.5....
I have loved Rice since December...Evans is one of the best gds in the country..will go pro and is only a soph..Igor the Russian at 6'5 does everything..they both avg 19 and 18 pts a game...they have to be one of the top 2 tandem scorers in the country...their other gds Jackson and pt gd Cashew are solid..they really don;t have any inside attack...Ellis is 6'7 and thats it.. a gd orientated team...they avg 81 pts agame ranking them 24th...defense gives up 75 pts...they shoot the 3,FT%,and rebound by committee well...Rice's knock in the past is they can;t play defense...but this season they have played better and won 20 games..lyr they lost 20...they beat some good teams in the Conf like La Tech and lost some to some bad teams..the program has turned around...and playing on the CBI quarter final is big for them...Utah has some talent...a well balanced team..they blew Ga So away..they have a big kid in 6'11 Neilson and some real good gds..they beat some good teams but FG%,Defense and 3 pt shooting are avg..think the Owls at home can win this by double digits....
Illi St -5.5 over CF **
Tough game..CF with Taco and BJ are tough..Redbirds have won 7 or 8 in a row...won 28 games and many think they should be at the Senior Prom....think they want to prove to everyone something....Cuse also made some noise about not getting inviting and got their butts beaten..don't think this will happen to Illi...they are a good team but so is CF...think at home they will carry more emotion and motivation....these guys are physical and can play....

UTA has been good to me all year..Love Hervey,Neal.etc....but with Jones still out they lost some of their offense...Watched Zips the other day vs Houston ...wow..don't see to many MAC games..these guys are tough and can shoot..think Zips give Mavs all they can handle tonite and if they play like they did vs Houston could win outright...they were 27-8 this year and can hit 3's from the...???? Ohio River..is that near there campus...but unfortunately the game is in Arlington...doesn't matter think my Mavs could be in trouble...
GWash -6.5 over Illi Chi ****
Think GW should win this by double digits..Colonials have better front line,better back court,and 6'9 Cavanaugh..think the POY of the A-10{ not sure},,the one problem is "where are there heads".are they happy to be playing..that's why these games are tough...the mentality of teams...
Boise +8.5 over Illi **
Boise just knocked off Utah..this team is really talented...Illi lost coach and beat Valpo in 1st round...but that was w/o Peters....not sure where Illi team is at...Ili does play well at home but Boise is a good rd team...

Met Bobby W from MJ's at the M..we sat and watched 4 or 5 games...had such a good time with him...we both had the over 144 in the Oregon game...great watching the game go over with him....I told you Bobby about UCLA...:00hour after I left you I was listening to USC +6.5 on the radio driving over to flamingo ... thank you Metu..didn't see what happened but they covered.. I guess he tipped it in for the cover...like the Ok St shot I won...and the dayton.5 cover..won 3 games this weekend with under 2 seconds left.....that is what you call " lucky"...
leaving tomorrow for Texas...will make some prop bets before I go..NY Giants to win the Super Bowl,Phillies to win the World Series.....and for me to get picked up by my wife at the airport in Austin tomorrow afternoon and the 1st thing she will say is " how did you do out there"...and my answer will be " it was a tough week hon,can we stop at Jack in the Box on the way home".
