The dark side of the Moon
Since I don't have to cook for a living I love playing with flour,my latest kick is danish dough.

Here is a basic recipe

* 2 tablespoons active dry yeast

* 2/3 cup sugar

* 1 teaspoon salt

* 3 large egg yolks at room temperature (another recipe that says to use room temp eggs)

* 2 teaspoons vanilla

* 2/3 cup milk

* 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

* 3 sticks cold unsalted butter, cut into bits
(I use 2 stick of salted and omit the salt and grate it with a cheese grater )
* ? cup flour
Ingredients for the Filling

* 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
* 1/4 cup granulated sugar
* 1 large egg yolk
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 2 teaspoons freshly grated orange zest
* 1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest
* 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
* 2 cups fresh, sliced strawberries or other fruit

I substitute the fresh fruit with pie filling
