What happened? Injuries? Is losing, year after year, wearing him down mentally? He is batting .272 with 8 HR. He has no pop anymore. He is a groundout waiting to happen. If his uniform didn't say Wright on the back of it, I'm not sure he would start for many teams in MLB. He wishes he could hit like Daniel Murphy! Interested to hear other's opinions on this guy.

My brother has him in our fantasy baseball league.

We just had this same conversation.....he calls him david wrong...

Lots of times, when stars are on a poor team, they end up traded......wright has been stuck in a tough situation forever and it has to get to him...you would think so atleast......

I was so badly hoping pittsburgh was going to make a move to replace pedro at 3rd, and at one point I was even hoping it would be wright. Not anymore.....

That being said, I still think he has enough left to help a team immensley in the right ballpark/situation

mental mess..

?I?ve made some mistakes this year, revamping some things with my swing that I probably shouldn?t mess with,? he was saying on Wednesday. ?Especially after the All-Star break I started trying to change things when I didn?t get the results I wanted. Pretty soon you?re trying something new every at-bat and thinking about all the wrong things.

?Instead of realizing there are going to be times during the season when you?re going to have a hiccup and you need to ride it out, I was too quick to make adjustments, and you get to the point where you can?t remember what it felt like when you were going good.?

Wow! He sounds like a rookie, not the face of a franchise. What a mental midget!
