Hey All....hope everyone had a good and profitable weekend......me? Nothing but a tug of war with the man the last week or so....hopefully a winning streak is in the offing!! I know that with all the good cappers here who have helped me to a good start so far this baseball season that a winning streak will be coming soon.

Anyway, how about today? Monday afternoons blow, but not as much today! Thanks to a pair of wrap around series, we actually have some day baseball to discuss on the first work day of the week.

Any thoughts or discussions on these games? It would be nice to start out the week with a winner or two. So, Who do you got and why in these two games?

SF at Phily and KC at TB.

At first blush, i like both dogs, except that both Phily and TB have really dominated the head to head matchups of late.

Phily has been a decent home favorite all year, but have not had any real luck winning ball games with Leiber on the field. The Giants are no prize either, but might be worth a stab with their ace Zito on the mound. After struggling in April, he has bounced back and has been solid lately.

As for KC-TB.....my first instinct was how often is TB installed as a favorite. They're 8-8 this year in that roll for a loss of -$265 (assuming bets to win $100), but a respectable 35-26 as a favorite the last three + seasons.

The Rays have been a slight money maker with Shields on the mound this season.

Any thoughts on either? First pitch in Phily is less than an hour away. If anyone is interested, lets kill a Monday with this as an in-game thread.

Like you, Rusty i took a flier on SF. Got it at -105.

Zito has turned a slight profit for bettors this year, and i think he builds off his previous start, a shutout in Shea against the Mets.

Leiber has not pitched poorly this season, but the Phils are 2-6 with him as a starter.

Go Giants.

Rusty, i'll be pulling for you on the R-H-E total!!

Way to go SF!!

Klesko has been hot lately, that three-run jacked sure did perk up my Monday spirits.

How about this second game. Starts in less than 20. There seems to be mixed opinion here on the MJ board.

Who do we like in this game? Two aces. Two last place teams.

I first thought KC could be a solid dog play, but did you know that TB when installed as a -140 favoritie or more is 8-2 the last three years. But, both losses came this year and are only 3-2 in 2007 for a net loss of -48.

Paralysis by analysis, i guess.

Any insight....as well as more Giant runs......are appreciated!

Good luck!
