Can't wait myself.....track is 45 min away and I will be attending the Twin 125's as I do every year. Afterwards...the real action will be at New Symrna Speedway located right around the corner which is an annual week-long event. Teams of different classes come in from all over the country & Canada to compete on the 1/2 mile paved track....lots of good racing every night.

My brother in law works at the Daytona Airport fire and rescue. He lives in Deland. Next trip down we should catch a beer. I darn near came down for this race. I understand about the action at your half mile track. Been told it's great fun and some darn good raceing.

I can almost smell the fuel now. But what is NASCAR going to do now that R.J. Reynolds as well as Union 76 fuel is pulling out as sponsors. I mean that where the majority of the purse money comes from. I never have bet on nascar. Seems too hard. If I could bet on the manufacturer. I would bet on the Big Blue Oval. Except on restrictor plate races. We all know chevrolet dominates at Dayton and Talladega.

Yeah RJR Reynolds dropping out is a big blow but there is a lot of corporate money out there. My guess is that a beer or possibly gas company will become the main sponsor. Wal*Mart wouldn't shock me either. Still my guess is that Anheuser Busch will move up to the big leagues and someone like Miller or Texaco will take over the current Busch series.
