Hudson Valley area.....NY
I am getting ready for practice many years ago . Yashoo the custodian at my school a former Navy Vetreans with naked girls on his arms and tattoos of mermaids and naked girls that speaks broken English from Pine island NY a Polish community in upstate NY Is in the hallway with his mop and broom and trying to describe DEC 7th to one of our middle school basketball players waiting in the hallway to play basketball. He asks Micheal " do you know today is ? Its the Day the Japs hit us with everything We didn't know what hit us but they came from everywhere and destroyed us " Michel looked up to him and said " when we get them on our court we'll pay them back and destroy them" Yashoo looked up at me and screamed " what the Hell do they teach them in school " and walked away angrily . Micheal was killed a few years ago in NYC by a sray bullet and Yashoo retired and passed away a few years ago But every Dec 7th instead of me remembering Pearl Harbor I think of that hallway conversation at my school and Yasho so upset because the student didn't know what Pearl Harbor was I told this story here many years ago

On the course!
Sadly, Pearl Harbor is sunseting in the memory of American history. People are so busy hating each other internally in the USA, that they have completely lost touch with important times that really matter.

I honestly haven't seen it mentioned until your post. Years past, it was always the lead story on the news.
