Not nearly as good as the name would lead you to believe.

I mean, they are Oreo's which are 100% good all on their own, then you batter them and deep fry them. Tell me anything that isn't better deep fried?!?

Well, I am disappoint. Had a deep fried Oreo at the local amusement park yesterday and it was, well.....awful.

I am sorry to report this and nobody is more upset by this unthinkable turn of events than I am.

I'm still waiting to try a deep fried twinkie.

Hopefully it works out better than I think it will. The problem is when you think of eating an Oreo you think of the crunchy goodness that is an Oreo. Once deep fried the batter shell is exactly what you think it would be like, but the Oreo itself is this ball of black and white mush that just isn't any good at all.

Yes, this is it exactly. That is why the Twinkie actually works, since it already has a mushy texture. I remember having that exact same experience you describe with the deep-fried Oreos at the North Carolina State Fair about 7 years ago. I was in shock that two such beautiful things could come together to make such a sorry mess.

Here's how they come out looking at a restaurant called Cafeteria in NYC:

I didn't try them because that's not my thing (I'm not a big dessert guy anyway, rather just eat more meat), but everyone at the table to tried them said they were delicious. My cousin, who I ate there with, had the idea to go there in the first place so she could get these again - she loved them that much. Me? I'd rather just have more steak/BBQ/whatever other protein deliciousness comes from the menu than eat crap like this.

you don't like tossing a few in a glass of milk, letting them sit for a few minutes, and then drinking the milk catching that mush? Best mush around next to hegehog handicapping.
