Usually I?m not confused but need some clarification on a rule. The pass break up just now on one rams 3rd down, the receiver was hit (perfect timing) as the ball got to him to break it up. How is that not considered defenseless though by the rules of the NFL? Back to the defender, doesn?t see him coming and hit from Behind (lol it?s funny even saying this because it?s perfect hit but that?s the ?rules the NFL says with the term defenseless?). But a player catching the ball turning and running IS considered defenseless because he doesn?t make a ?football move?? Looking for actual clarification on how a player hit in the back is not defenseless and a player hit in the front is considered defenseless?
