Im a mets fan and don't want him. I want a good glove at first, and sign ordonez for the outfielf. This team still needs bullpen help and a clubhouse leader

If they don't get 3 bullpen arms like i have said for 2 months almost now, they can sign all the hitters they want and will get beat because they are a staff of 6 inning pitchers tops.
Hitting looks good and makes fans happy that watch game the less schooled fan anyway, but pitching and deff wins championships, I would reather see a 2-1 3-2 pitching duel with great deff then a 10-7 game any day.
In a deff and pitching the real fan lives for games like that, you are on the edge of your seat the whole game pitch by pitch, play by play, trouble is lot of baseball fans want to see college scores and long balls where you have the 15-17 runs between 2 teams. I think those are the worse games in the world to watch, + they go on for almost 4 hours.
Give me pitching and deff any day, I can make a hitter and move runners around by doing different things, but you are gifted with a great arm and great glove, you can only improve so much on the arm and glove the rest is just being blessed with special skills.

The Mets need more than Delgado...like everyone else said, they need pitching. The Braves will probably pull it off again just because they're the Braves, but if the Mets get some pitching, they have a chance.

At his age and games caught, Piazza will not hit like you think he will. Sorry to say Mike should be NOTHING other then a DH at this point. He will hurt the team back there. Better off trading him to a AL team for some bullpen help. Really like this David Wright kid so 3b will be a strength in future and if Reyes ever plays like he is capable that would be two solid homegrown players. Alot of strong points, but manifest weaknesses too such as catcher and bullpen (which actually is the easiest part of a team to strengthen). :look:
