That was headines in AP this morning

My question would be if so how many seats changed hands. The answer is "0" I believe.

Granted they drilled Aronlds proposals how ever another state Texas banned gay marriages and more importantly Ohio nixed the voting reform backed heavily by out of state liberal orgs.

However one could construe that not losing any seats could be Dem victory ;)

Headed out of computer range for a few days--ya all be cool and be safe.

--and Edward congrats on your new mayor.:)

Liberal Loot

And speaking of the Buckeye State, "Reform Ohio Now" was created to support a slew of ballot initiatives aimed at election reform in the state and calls itself a coalition "committed to improving Ohio's electoral process." But the group's primary financial backers are a network of out of state liberal organizations that blamed "irregularities" in Ohio for costing John Kerry the presidency.

The Toledo Blade reports that 92 percent of the group's funding came from special interest groups outside the state. That includes more than $600,000 from the liberal group, People for the American Way, which spoke out against "troubling election incidents" in Ohio in 2004. Liberal activists at MoveOn.org also solicited donations. Meanwhile, just 4 percent of donations to the Republican "Ohio First," which opposes the measures, came from outside Ohio.

Not to mention mayorially in St. Paul, MN (thanks to his support FOR Bush). If things continue as they have, there will be plenty of seats both up for grabs and changing hands in 2006.

Not sure why you maintain that for these elections to have any impact they have to have seat changes? There were no seats TO change hands, mostly just governorships and some politically-themed issues. Democrats DID do well, in the major races...the Virginia one who tied his hopes into the "Bush Draw", which failed.

Your boy has no more drawing power, and will probably not be asked to come to town much in '06 to "help" his party. The tide is turning, and the next election could see a swing of power again. What could be more depressing for conservatives than a democratically controlled House and Senate, and a LAME lame duck President with his administration on trial?

Dare to dream, baby.

Obviously you did not take the time to read the changing of the demographics in voting patterns in the Virginia race! The suburbs which had been previously overwhelming conservative did a complete 180 and went with the the DEM and this is why this race was seen as a victory. NJ is not a feather in the caps of the Dems since they have trended DEM for years.

Since there were no "seats" up for grabs at all due to it being a mid-term election, your comment is, well, stupid.

Don't let that stop you from another round of name-calling, though.
