Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Flyers will be without the services of defenseman Eric Desjardins for three-to-four weeks, putting the veteran blueliner's status for the remainder of the playoffs in jeopardy.

The former team captain suffered a fracture in his right foot after blocking a shot during Philadelphia's 4-1 victory over Toronto on Saturday afternoon at the First Union Center.

Desjardins played an important role in helping the Flyers to their current 3-2 series lead in the best-of-seven opening round matchup against the Leafs. He recorded two goals and an assist in four games.

The 33-year-old defenseman posted a solid regular season in 2002-03 for Philadelphia, scoring eight goals to go along with 24 assists and a plus-30 rating in 79 games.
