How many people do you think will fill the stands to watch this classic three-game set? Not too many when you consider that the two worst teams in MLB are involved in this ridiculous interleague match up. We can?t lay any money on a team as bad as the Padres (averaging 3.3 runs per game at home) and aren?t too thrilled with the Tigers (3.4 RPG as visitors) either. PREFERRED: None.

One has to give the Astros credit for staying above the .500 mark despite the disappointing performances of their top two starters, Wade Miller and Roy Oswalt, who are a combined 8-12 (-$1050). The Os have the sixth best BA on the road in MLB and are turning a tidy profit (+$695) vs. righthanders. We?ll take some attractive prices in this series. PREFERRED: Orioles vs. righthanders

The way the Braves are currently pounding the ball (first in the NL in BA, second in homers), it looks like another long series for the mediocre Rangers? starters (6.90 road ERA for starters, 4.53 for the bullpen). The Braves will be laying heavy wood, but are worth the investment should either of their southpaws gets the nod as the Rangers are 32-64 vs. lefthanders on the road the last two plus years (6-10, -$200 in 2003). PREFERRED: Hampton/Ramirez.
