Detroit pistons Futures

Need some advice and thoughts from all the great cappers here in the forum.

Love the Detroit pistons to do it this year.

They are +140 at olympic to win east and a whopping +1200 to win it all.

What does everyone think, the east with only indy and NJ a threat I see great value in having detroit +1200 to win it all if they get there, just have to beat out indy as I see it.

Am I missing anything


All the money is going on the west, LA, SAC, SA, Minn


and nothing on east

olympic has the west at -565 and east to win championship at +360

if Detroit beats out indy, +1200 looks like the bet

Guess we will get a preview tomorrow at noon with Detroit hosting Indy

Instead of betting futures, if you like Detroit, I would recommend betting them each series, each time letting the return of one series ride on the next series. After all, a futures bet is effectively just a parlay of each series and a parlay is the same as taking the return of event A and letting it ride on event B and so on.

The reason I suggest this is that I suspect your effective return will be higher this way vs going the futures route. What the actual return would be of course depends on what you think each series price would be. Something especially nice about this method is that you're not bound by one book's price. Each round you can shop around for the best series price. Chances are Pinnacle would give you the best prices but one never knows for sure.

If you're determined to bet Detroit as a future, I would shop around. Olympic is notorious for high vig on props and futures. Pinnacle doesn't currently have NBA futures posted, but they will before the playoffs start. Looking around a bit, the best Eastern Conference price I see for Detroit is +210 at 5Dimes. They are +1300 there for the championship.

detroit lookin strong today vs indy but probably does not matter a whole lot but man can Detroit D up
