HELL
:D

the guy is gutless. their are many of decent qbs around the country that would give the balls to play at texas with that talent. say what do think a cliff klingsbury would have done there? all he does is throw 5-10 yard slants and they wr's break them wide open.

Mack Brown would do himself a favor if he just never said anything else about Chris Simms on national tv.

I would rather hear "people are jealous of Chris Simms" from Chris Simms, but when Mack constantly makes all these excuses for him for why he doesn't play well against top 10 teams or whatever, and then turns around and says critics of Chris Simms are "jealous" of him, that is utterly rediculous.

I know one person who is jealous of Chris Simms: The 1999 Offensive Player of the year: Major Applewhite.

I am not jealous, just envious. I am envious of OU's defensive backs that have picked him off seven times in the last two years.

COULD NOT AGREE MORE. NO OFFENSE UT FANS, BUT APPLEWHITE WOULD HAVE CARRIED YOU BETTER LAST YEAR. SIMMS MIGHT BE OK IN THE PROS BUT HIS COLLEGE CAREER HAS BEEN EARMARKED WITH DISAPPOINTMENT IN BIG GAMES. ANOTHER MARINOVICH ?

Misunderstanding!!

Misunderstanding!!

Sportsfans, I'm from Texas, born and raised, so I feel comfortable saying that Simms is NO Texas favorite. Applewhite is the kind of QB we all would like to bet on. Great team leader with skills and more, however with that said, I suspect that someone made a deal with the devil, and that put Simms in the drivers seat. Simms was raised far away from Texas and his bragging and weak play in tough situations made him stand out even more as a NON-Texan.

I doubt that any true Texan would be offended by any truthful evaluation of Simms. Thanks Elvis, for sparing our feelings, but I'll add that his pro career is also suspect.

Your defensive backs could have used Simms in the game yesterday. They really needed those picks to slow the state offense.
You certainly have a great team, so I guess this game falls in the " Every DOG has their day" catageory.
