Did USC sloppy play cost ND $4 mill for 10 years?
Imagine had SC executed properly in South Bend and won by the expected 2-3 TD margin, would ND have (and could they have justified) the Weis contract extension?
Imagine if the SC winning margin was a Willimham-esque 3-4 TDs ... how could ND have justified this (even if the team really had improved under Weis).
Come to think about it, looks like Charlie need to buy some nice gifts (Rolex watches?) for a few SC players who dropped balls and made careless penalties. Things that had nothing to do with ND and Weis.
Ty started out 8-0. Imagine the money the Irish would have been eating if they had extended Willingham's contract at that time.
The Irish are betting that Weis runs the table the rest of the year and gets the team to a BCS bowl. It will be intersting to see what will hit the fan if the Irish lose another game in the regular season.
