Im going to the police academy right now, and last night the Sgt told us this little story... The responding officer arrives at the scene of a car wreck saw this young girl completely out of tact... So the officer takes a picture with his phone and sends it to another officer, which ended up getting all around... The Father of the young girl receives an email with the picture of his deceased daughter before he was even notified of her death.... The email subject was "Woohoo! Hey daddy, I'm still alive." I have no idea what happened to the cop who took the picture but I sure hope he got canned...

So... the dad identified his daughter by the head split in half and crushed, unidentifiable car? unlikely

it would appear that the cop that told you that the father learned of his daughter's death via an email of her pic was either lying to you or simply misinformed.

This happened in 2007 from what I just read. The photos were leaked and eventually spread around cyberspace. Eventually, some sick fuckers emailed the pics to the father. The family no longer used the internet, and her sister is now being home-schooled b/c family does not want her to be exposed to the pics at school.

Where it is real F ing COLD
From what I read the father learned of the crash from a phone call from the police while he was looking for her in his car immediately after it happened.

Even though it happened 3 years ago it gives me chills and goose bumps.. Imagine frantically searching for your daughter and then to get to this point.. Just sad..

This is the exact reason I do not work in the ER anymore. You never know what gut wrenching experience you are going to have.. The images off battered people and especially children from trauma never leaves your mind.

Cie Grant is correct, wrongly retold to you. Cop took pics and they were emailed amongst California HP offices.
The family sued the CHP that once the photos got out in cyberspace, they couldn't control or censor. Every time the father made news of lawsuit, photos became more popular.
Kinda old news in So Cal.
Girl didn't not know how to drive and took some drugs and drank alcohol after a breakup.
What made it so scandalous was girl was young, blonde and attractive. Ohh and a Ferrari.

You mean something like, "Disturbing Photo"?

Maybe all caps? I just saw a cute kid with a warm Holiday cheer... and thought to myself, what's that sweet guy LDB in General discussing...

I mean,

next thing you know Dunclock has a 36 hour food poisoning bug and Jack's locked himself in a Vegas hotel paying the utility bill for the Vegas Strip....

I yelled it with conviction, not rudeness.... like a Chris "You know this Man!" kind of thing...

I'm a victim. :(
