Do books ever sell personal info?

I got a call this evening from Mike Warren, (left a message on the answering machine), telling me about his lock for tonights NBA game. The only thing I can think of is that a sportsbook sold my phone number to this prick. I guess I am a dumb ass for putting my real phone number in the sign up form. We have an unlisted phone number, so needless to say the wife is not impressed. I have never called an 800 number for a free pick so can't think of how else they got the number other than a book that I have an account with gave it out. Anyone else ever have this happen to them. I am currently using Carib and a couple of months ago had a funded account at DSI, but it is empty now. I have registered for other books over the last few years but this is the first time I ever received a call from a tout.

Absolutely. Look around the forums and you will be disturbed at the scammers that are selling databases from the books.

I once called one of those 1800-TOUTS in the back of USA Today sports page and every so often would get this annoying precorded message from them.

I have since moved and changed phone numbers but I hope they are calling my ex every hour on the hour!
