Do you own a cash business?

We all know that cash business owners skim. It just goes with the territory. This might piss some of you employee types off but bar owners, salon owners all do it. I owned one for 12 years back in the early 70's and it just went with the territory, much like creative bookkeeping and accounting. My business never showed a profit thanks to my tax accountant, he was a genius. Do you have a story you'd like to share?

I worked as a bartender in a very busy niteclub for many years ...The door money (cover charge ) was free money for the owners .. Would have been nice if they didn`t run the place into the ground, the money was being made they just took it all and never put in back into business..We did last 10 years so thats pretty good considering.


Our Managers also took a skim from the take with out a doubt...Usually the Door Girl was a GF of one of the owners and paid like $200 to collect money for the nite pretty sure she stuffed a few bills in bra too...

Big skims in the bar, restaurant and salon business. Pretty common.
