Does anyone even know what the AP Trophy Looks Like??

I know what that national championship trophy looks like. Its a crystal football. Who the hell knows what the AP trophy even looks like that just shows what a joke it is USC fans are all about winning a split. I bet you 9 people out of 10 have no idea what the AP trophy even looks like. I have been watching college football for the last 20 years and have never seen it. The reason why WHO CARES ABOUT THE AP TROPHY!!!

Why does the National Champion not get the NCAA trophy like is given out in every other sport recognized by the NCAA?

Does the NCAA not actually recognize anyone as their national champion?

Just curious because the same trophy goes to the champion in basketball, track, swimming, etc - but not football. Curious as to why.

Its all about $$$$$$$. You think if they were smart, they would just combine the AP,Coaches and ESPN poll together....

I agree 100% that it is money driven - but that makes me wonder why they don't pimp themselves out for the mens' basketball trophy too. I'd have to think they could fetch a pretty penny from a corporate sponsor to put a brand name on the prize given to the tourney winner.

i guess you did not catch the sarcasm; no one gives a crap about the ap trophy thats why no one knows what it looks like; if you ask 9 out of 10 people; they will say the national champion has the crystal football; not the AP paper (I lost 1st so i get the AP) trophy; The AP trophy is a freakin joke
