does anyone know??

If Moyer traveled home yesterday and is rested for todays game. Also how about Finley. If Moyer traveled to Seattle yesterday prior to game, and Finley stayed with Cleveland until the loss, that is another distinctive advantage for Seattle.

The Indians were planning on sending Finley to Seattle before yesterday's game so he could be well-rested. But there was a question as to what time yesterday's game would start, so he flew with the team after the game.

"I would just prefer to stay with the team," he said. "Sleep means nothing at this point now. Your rest means nothing. Everybody is pretty much flowing on adrenaline right now and the enthusiasm of going to play a final game and move on in the postseason.

"I don't think there will be one guy out there that said they got enough rest last night. If we don't win, we'll get a lot of sleep."

Finley is 19-8 lifetime against the Mariners. That does not include the postseason.

Who's turn is it?:

The Indians and Mariners have been trading victories in the series. The Indians won Games 1 and 3. The Mariners won Games 2 and 4.

"I figure it's our turn in Game 5," said Travis Fryman.

The Indians led, 1-0, through six innings yesterday behind the pitching of Bartolo Colon and Juan Gonzalez's home run.

But Fryman did not feel comfortable.

"We only scored one run and that's not enough breathing room for Bartolo," said Fryman, hitting .143 (2-for-14) in the series.

It's my turn:

Kenny Lofton can't wait for Game 5. That may sound strange for a guy hitting .067 (1-for-15) in the series.

"I haven't done a thing in this series," he said. "It's about time I did something. Game 5 sounds like a good time to do it."

Should the Indians lose, it will probably be Lofton's last game as an Indian. He's a free agent this winter.

As for missing a chance to clinch at home yesterday, Lofton said, "If you put yourself in this situation, you can't complain. You just deal with it."

Should he or shouldn't he?:

Left fielder Marty Cordova made a nice running catch of David Bell's sacrifice fly in the seventh inning. It tied the game, 1-1, and was the second out of the inning.

Cordova caught the ball in foul territory and players were questioned as to whether Cordova should have let the ball drop to keep the run from scoring.

"He's got to catch it," said Lofton. "You've got to trade a run for an out there. He made the right play."

But shortstop Omar Vizquel said, "Maybe Marty should have let the ball drop. Maybe it would have given us another chance to get a double play and get out of the inning."

Seattle took a 3-1 lead in that inning.

Bell said Cordova had no choice but to make the catch.

Finally:

Some fans were upset Fox network cut away from the Indians' 17-2 victory in the ninth inning of Game 3 to start the pregame show for Game 3 of the Oakland-New York series. . . . Russell Branyan's broken-bat bloop single in the third inning of Game 3 was his first postseason hit. "I owe it to Eddie Taubensee's bat," said Branyan. . . . Rain delayed the start of yesterday's Game 4 for 2 hours, 20 minutes
======================

Today's starter for Mariners, Jamie Moyer, was not sent to Seattle early to rest up. He didn't want to be. "I like that I am part of a team," he said. "Why separate yourself from that team?"
