The Dodgers are counting on Kevin Brown to secure their longest winning streak of the season and longest home winning streak in years when they host Colorado tonight. I love Colorado at +190.
I won't argue that Brown's stats are awesome . . . that's why the line is way too high . . . but take a close look at Brian Bohanon (1-4, 9.40). Bohanon will make his first start in more than three weeks for Colorado. He has not made a starting appearance since allowing eight runs and nine hits over just two innings in a 10-9 Rockies' loss to New York at Coors Field on May 7. He has had a lot of time to think about that shelling.
The veteran lefthander pitched an inning of perfect relief in a 10-4 victory at San Francisco on Saturday. Bohanon is 4 - 3 career vs the Dodgers with a 5.68 ERA. A victory over Kevin Brown would certainly help erase the memory of the May 7 disaster.
The price is right . . . Bohanon is ready . . . and remember . . . the Dodgers haven't won seven in a row at home since about the time George W Bush was General Manager of the Texas Rangers.
