Does Ron Washington know something ? Did he address why Cliff Lee goes game 7 ?

I have not been able to watch much MLB TV or ESPN so I was curious ?

Did Ron address the media on why not sending out Lee to close this out in 6 ?

This line screams NYY to me and it opened NYY favorite and of course all of the money is on TEXAS as the home dog.

a) no, ron washington doesn't know anything. if he didn't have michael young playing in on the grass with a 5-run lead in the 8th inning of game 1, jeter hits into a dp instead of a double down the line and the rangers would have swept the series.

b) lee is just going on his normal 4 days rest.

1) cliff lee's never pitched on 3 days rest
2) today game would be on 3 days rest

why would he need to explain anything...he's been set for game 3 and 7 for over a week now.
