I saw your recent post regarding Joe Biden. It was refreshing to see a staunch repub notice a democrat favorably. I guess it's kind of how I feel about McCain. (although I'd actually cross party lines to vot for him)

I firmly believe he is the only Dem with a shot. As a democrat although starting to become more and more conservative fiscally although not socially, this is one of the only guys I could vote for now. I only voted Kerry do to my dislike and distrust for GwB. Since the election I have turned the page and gotten behund the president.

I actually like his social security ideas.

I quess I just like his attitude and character.While he was just as vocale as Boxer and others in the cabinet nominations he was much for factual and less condecending.I was impressed with his statement to Rummy also. While I think both,he and Rummy were close to being to correct as they where comparing diff enities--Rummy did need to be put in his place for presenting troops trained there in an unrealistic best case scenerio.Just because Iraqi personell has went though 8 week training course doesn't make them a competent person.
I might be wrong but my 1st impression is he is man of conviction and doesn't waiver.
