Dogue de Bordeaux or Neo Mastiff...

take a lot of Ol' Roy to feed a Mastiff, lol! Don't the average males weigh upwards of 140 pounds?
I've had experiernce with Chesapeakes, Weimeraners, Snauzers, Poodles, Labs, Goldens, and Jack Russels, but not the 2 breeds u mention.

Cool looking and intimidating with big head. Hip problems rampant in this breed.
Athletic dog, 130 pounds and likes to leap over fences!
He keeps it in garage. Typical big dog messy eater, messy all around, and has those big drools. I remember visiting in summer once with shorts on and dog would shake it's head and the long rope-like snot/drools would sling about and wrap on your legs.

I have had a Neo for 9yrs. Ol boy is on his last legs but has been a hell of a dog. He is extremely smart. Breath can stop a clock and he's a drooler.
He has had some health problems, cherry eye, glaucoma, enlarged heart but those all came up in the last couple of years. Some purebreds are like that.

Thanks for the feedback...Big sSix, looking at a female, heard they drool somewhat less, breeder todayhad a black brindle male (sire) 180lbs. and the blue female (dam) was 135, both had the floppy ears...heard they are good w/children and don't like to roam...have a male Cane Corso who is the Alpha of the crew, lost our female Boxer to cancer about a year ago, ready to add another pup now...Dogue de bordeauxs looked pretty good the other day, not a lot of local breeders...one had a very interesting mix/pet it was from a 140lb. American Bulldog and 115 lb. Dogue de Bordeaux female, kennel accident, lol!...AB was super athletic dog ran around and bounced when he was playing like frgn Tigger on acid, mother was very docile, only 3 pups in the litter, well fed..
