i wonder if this is a smoke screen by parcells to see if he will get any trade offers from other teams...... because i have read that some teams are hot for these 2 players...

Apparently content to keep the No. 1 overall pick, the Dolphins have begun discussing contract parameters with at least two players on their short list of candidates to become the draft's top selection. Official contract negotiations with Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long, and Ohio State defensive end Vernon Gholston were started this week, according to a source. Coincidentally, Long and Gholston are represented by the same agency, CAA, but have different agents

Nothing would make me ... as a Jets fan ... happier than to see the Dolphins take Gholston. Guy scares me as being a bust. Would prefer the Jets stay away from him should he be there when they pick at #6. Take Mckelvin or trade out.

It's all going to depend on whether his juice cycle allows him to piss clean at the NFL level.

I dont think your being fair.

I think its pretty much impossible for any NFL recruit to be on the hgh or steroids entering the draft.

They could not risk losing the millions by testing positive. NFL scouts too attuned to that right now. He would drop like a rock instead of being considered for the #1 piick in the draft.

Gholston is a beast plain and simple.

i think the longs will be 1-2 in the draft. if miami takes chris, then the rams will take the other long...& vice-versa.i then think that atlanta will take dorsey (he'll be great) with their pick..& then take the louisville qb, henne, or the delaware qb in the 2nd round.elvis then your team will choose between mcfadden or gholston at #4.but i wouldn't be surprised if ne trades into this pick because i have read that they are high on either gholston or rivers & they want to draft in front of the jets.

i think there is a formula that the teams use when trading draft choices.

probably mcfadden - - gholston appears to be a stud, but mcfadden is too good to pass up. i personally am not sold due to his legs being so lean and he is not a smooth runner (aka. marcus allen) but who is?

with peterson's success from last year i think mcfadden will be to hard to pass up for davis, jmo.

there are a few 'experts" who have mendenhall rated higher than mcfadden.

i just read that the raiders have big expectations for michael bush for this year & with fargas being productive last year, i don't think davis would take mcfadden over gholston..

It's not impossible. Not at all. Ever hear of cycling water based 'roids?

He's a beast, but he's used since he left Detroit. Even his old high school coach will admit it.
