Arky St -3 is the right side here.

Early on, Fla Intl was the sexy team. They were beating some teams. but look who they have played in hindsight now....

beat North Texas (big deal)
beat Louisville (they are piss awful (2-4 record))
beat UCF (not as good as they usually are 3-3 record))
lost to La Lafayette (they arent bad (6-1))
lost to Duke (they are a bad football team....still (3-3 record))
beat Akron by 10 (Akron may be the worst team in Div 1)

So tell me....what exactly has Fla Intl done then? Yes they were 3-0 to start. But it was fool's gold. They really didn't beat anyone.

Arky St has played respectable games on the road against Illinois and Va Tech (both of which they lost). They come into this game on a 3 game winning streak. I have to believe that most people will see this matchup and their gut will tell them to play Fla Intl. It's just the wrong side to be on.

Play.....Arkansas St -3

Hey my friend, very nice points as always. How does one factor in 13 turnovers by the Redwolves YTD, and the Golden Panthers. Just a question, it would at least scare me off the game.

Your right about some of your points but Carrol played a few minutes in one of those losses and wasn't 100% in the other.Ty hurt his hamstring and didn't play in 2 games..he played but was a decoy since most teams doubled team him.Think tonight they are both 100%....meanwhile Ark St is 2-0 in conf..they just beat WKU even though they held rainey down....they should of lost to UL Monroe but blocked a punt and returned it for a TD..as KC pointed out they had 13 penalties in that game...I can find many more holes in Ark St play then FIU....but Ark is at home and I worry about their rush defense...if Panthers can't run the ball and you double or triple Ty you will win...but you still have to cover the +3.5..and again with Ty that could be tough...

and to say FIU beat North Texas{ big deal}
I take offense to that...do you know Mean Joe Green,Pat Boone,Roy Oribison,Don Henley{Eagles},Abner Hayes,Cedric Hardman,Phyliss George,Bill Moyers,Nora Jones,Dr Phil, and Box and one all went to North Texas...and you say "big deal"....shame on you...where did you go?

Good luck tonite...just kidding about the above

Awesome posts guys. Just to address the "big deal" comment about N Texas, I only meant it as it relates to them on the gridiron this year. I know that times haven't always been lean there for the Mean Green, but this year's team doesn't impress. That's all I meant by big deal......as in, big deal that they beat N Texas this year. Nothing more than that, I assure you.

The RedWolves turnovers are a valid concern. I guess the way I see things playing out is that Ark St. makes enough big plays tonight, and I think the turnover battle will be a wash in this game. 2 each.

The total is something I wouldnt touch until at least halftime. I wanna get a feel for the pace of play before laying loot on these two teams scoring prowess against each other.

I almost am hoping to see a low scoring first half....because I think the 2nd half blows up. Will play the over situationally that way.

Ark St will start to move the ball a little more freely. These FGs will become TDs in the 2nd half. Might even be a special teams score.

Box, I take offense that you specify Don Henley as "Eagles"! Who doesn't know that! JK, kinda! I'm a huge Don Henley fan.

No doubt that ARK ST has played some decent ball thus far, but FIU is finally healthy. Not sure which way to go myself!
