a 46 yard field goal isn't exactly a chippie. True, he COULD have made it. But you can't EXPECT him to make it. Where's the blame on Nick Harper? As soon as he scooped up that fumble it should have been ballgame. You have 60 yards of turf in front of you and get tripped up by the frigging QB? That was pathetic. Or blame Peyton and the Colts for not being able to seal the deal at the end. That game should have never come down to a game tying FG opportunity. They had all the momentum, Pitt on their heels, and one of the worst secondaries in the NFL to throw on. The fact that Indy didn't win that game in regulation is staggering.

I blame the Refs. There was clearly "leaping" on that field goal and he should get another chance. The fix strikes again.

:banghead: comes down to bad coaching! 2nd and 2......and you have two timeouts left. Ummm??? :banghead: Can you say run...run!! :mj17: why are we even going for a tie! :wtf: I don't know why coaches do that shit.....go for overtime. You have them on the ropes. Tie that shit around their neck and win the game. Not use the damn rope and choke yourself relying on a kicker, being to tie the game too. That shit is bad coaching! :mj01: :nono:

They lost? Really? DUH! Sad thing is I bet there are some guys on their way to Vandys house right about now. Awfully tough position to be put in. I personally dont like him, or any kicker fot that matter but the blame rests squarely on Peyton and the offense. Now its bye bye Edgerrin, the window has closed :cursin:

You guys need to realize that wasnt coaching, Peyton calls the plays and its HIS fault for not having the correct play called. He tried to do too much instead of handing it off.

I agree completely. I wasn't even shocked by the missed FG. I was shocked that they didn't win in regulation. They had Pitt on their heels. Should have been able to score a TD at the end there.

screen pass?

screen pass?

did the colts ever attempt one? i doubt it. the steelers blitz should have been slowed a bit, but i don't think the colts attempted even 1.

pujo, Leonard Bernstein, that was hilarious.

Glen, Harper has a dam knife wound thanks to his wife. Although I also at first thought he would return it for touchdown, in fairness he probably isn't running his best today.

Vegas Baby !!
Indy should have NEVER been in the position to tie the game. Poetic justice by the miss!

Guess the refs couldn't get the ball through the uprights at the end! Surprised they didn't call another horsechit call to give Vanderfag the mulligan !

Thank GOD Pitt won, cuz you can't thank the refs !!!!

From watching that game I do think REFS MONEY WAS ON COLTS, they gave them every chance in the world.

I BLAME PEYTON AND VANDY... period, they both choked in crunch time, just like always... I know Madjack hates the Indy Colts since they left Baltimore, but at least Ravens have won a superbowl since then. Just another get close to the big game, typical bullchit for the fine city of indianapolis, see it every year w/the pacers and the colts, nothing ever changes around here.

I don't know what the percentage for kickers making 46 yarders is, but I doubt it's all that high. Yes, he defnitely could have made the FG. However, there is no reason to expect him to make that. If it was inside, say, 35, then I would be a little harder on him. It wasn't the greatest angle in the world either. I'm thinking, at most, there was a 50% chance of him making it.
