NCAA YTD: 45-39 (+4.22*)
NFL YTD: 25-30 (-4.65*)

Zoom - zoom - zoom -

A lot of hard work over a long season lies behind a record that is what it is. I didn't go scouting for opportunities this week - solid opinions on the games either came to me or they didn't - then I did all my research, and if I wasn't dissuaded, I made it a play this week. A large card follows as a result.
******************************************************

Michigan(-4') over Ohio State (1*)
-- Ohio State has turned a corner on their season, but still looks to be playing uphill, even with consistent and timely contributions from their special teams, and a freshman surprise now out of the bag. I've seen the Wolverines deliver their best stuiff in the second half of games and in the second half of the season. It's not my first Ohio State vs. Michigan rodeo, and I see Michigan as the conference king and having enough to make it over the finish line.

Louisville(-20' & -21) over Houston (1*)
- - They'll be ready.

Indiana(+20)(-108) over Purdue (1*)
- - Indiana has been reliably better than this line all year, and I don't see why to expect something less here to close the campaign.

Michigan State(-3') over Penn State (1*)
- - Effort, tradition and talk notwithstanding, it didn't take a full season for me to conclude that more so than not, Penn State in 2004 is a painful repeat of Penn State in 2003. After finally clawing out a win against Indiana, I see nothing good about squaring off against a superior team this week.

Florida(+7)(-108) over Florida State (1*)

- - I expect FSU QB Wyatt Sexton to be comfortable wheeling and dealing in this much anticipated rivalry game, but I also don't think Florida shot its wad last week and just goes quietly here. A Seminole team that found Maryland to be a rabid dog draws a feisty dog here.

More on the way.

buddy: Jack might have an e-mail address to an account I rarely check with a mailbox full up with spam. I'll check it out and give Jack an accessible address this afternoon . . .I see we are butting heads most of the way today. GL anyway, within reason.

Auburn(-9' & -10) over Alabama (1*)
- - What I see and hear from Auburn each week as they leave the field on Saturday until they take the field the following Saturday has impressed me as much as the onslaught that has taken place during the 3.5+ hours in the spotlight each week. A stout heart will only carry you so far against an Auburn destiny I have not bucked this season.

North Carolina(-6')(-108) over Duke (1*)
- - I like my chances with a deserved favorite.
