I never do this ... I consider it a sin.
However (never say never), I have to admit that I coattailed you on your CWS pick for Saturday (Hurricanes). You seemed pretty confidant so I did a tiny bit of research before making a decent wager on the game. A wager that left me up on the day instead of down.
Nice call!
Secondly, just wanted to say thanks for your kind words on my STARTERS post for Saturday.
My thanks go out to everyone who has responded. It is paricularly encouraging to have veteren members respond as this makes me feel very welcome in my membership.
Hope that the pain is subsiding.
When you have some time maybe you would consider starting a thread or two regarding some handicapping strategies.
I put a fair bit of work into my handicapping, but I am still trying to refine the particular weighting that I should give to various factors. While it has paid off well so far this season, I undoubtedly rely too heavily on starting pitching, injuries, and basic bullpen information. I pay some attention to specific batter/pitcher match-ups, and certain streaks, but I am totally ignorant when it comes to umpires and certain other angles.
Regardless, enough of this rambling.
Hopefully we shall communicate on this forum in the future.
