Google is facing lawsuits over stuff on YouTube and have been deleting many videos over the last several weeks.
A few of my faves were deleted---including dozens of Don Rickles TV clips! :nono:
This is the best downloader I found. I've already saved several YouTube videos to my computer.

When box comes up to save file to your computer, you have to type in ".flv" at end of the file (it's highlighted in blue with your mouse's cursor already there) as instructions say.
you have to download a flv player to watch it. Link for this at the above download site.

If you have Firefox browser (you should!) the downloader offers a Firefox extension that puts little icon in tray at bottom of screen and makes saving streaming video from any of these sites even easier.
