You have to stop thinking about more oil. More oil means you can keep driving that 10 mpg SUV. The car companies knew this was coming but they were making big bucks cranking out those SUVs and didn't want to give it up. VW has a diesel car that's gets 70+ mpg, why isn't it here? Because US car companies are going to produce a 40+mpg car and they want you to buy that.
