Why do scrambling QBs never win super bowls. Why do Drop QBs generally get sacked fewer times than Scrabling QBs (unless you have houston's offensive line). QBs like Marino, Testaverde and Fouts had no mobility but never seemed to get sacked, but QBs like Brunell, Culpepper, Vick, Cunningham and Blake get sacked with much more frequency. Steve Young didnt get the niners to a super bowl until he learned patience in the pockett. These QBs can plays with thier legs during the regular season when they play teams with no D, however most teams in the playoffs can play D, and it seems these scrambling QBs with all these great physical tools can not seem to get the job done in the playoffs when they had to sit back in the pocket and read a defense. McNair came close to winning a Title, but he also came into the NFL as a much more polished passer than the other. I am curious about the opinion of others out there. Do you prefer the drop back passes or the scrambling QB? Am I completely off in my opinion or is anyone in agreement with me?
