Will CBS will put Duke in one of its two "stand-alone" early afternoon games on Saturday.
Yes -4000
No +3400

It seems like every year they put Duke in that stand-alone game (there used to be one stand-alone game, but they've added another in recent years...not sure what they are doing this year)

It's so predictable. I hate their weekend schedule. They go like 1-1-3-3, or 1-1-4-2
The network(s) really need to spread out the round of 32 better. Two solo games and then a bunch of games on top of each other is not good for die-hard viewers. I wish they went 2-2-2-2.

Let's see....

AND there is it!....
Duke will play in the 2nd time window (all by itself as a stand-alone) at 2:40 p.m.
Villanova gets the first window all to itself at 12:10.
So, we have to sit through a 1-seed playing alone and then a 2-seed playing alone before a whole bunch of games are just thrown at us.
Nothing against Duke. It's just that CBS/NCAA is SOOOOO predictable.
Spread the damn games out more for us hoop lovers!!
And then on Sunday they move all games to cable at night to protect its cash cow- 60 Minutes. Not a big deal, since they have the other 3 channels. But c'mon. It's The Tourney. So put some reruns of 60 Minutes on for two Sundays..it won't kill ya.
But what else should we expect from a network that last month had all-day golf coverage..but when it was time for a playoff, they signed off and went to a red-carpet show to see what celebs were wearing. Golf viewers had to switch over to cable and watch the 5 or 6 playoff holes. Those celebrity-loving US Weekly female viewers (and "guys" like Perez Hilton) needed to see the fashion of pampered celebs walking down a freaking red carpet.
This is certainly no country for old (straight) men anymore. Sigh.
To their credit, CBS/NCAA now staggers the other 6 games a little better now. It used to be really bad!
