Eagles signed WR Alshon Jeffery, formerly of the Bears, to a one-year, $14 million.

It's a "prove it" deal for Jeffery after he missed seven games with injury in 2015 and served a four-game suspension last season. It's a win-win, giving Jeffery a shot at a bigger payday next offseason, and providing the Eagles a desperately-needed presence on the outside. Jeffery has put monstrous upside on NFL film, and posted huge numbers in 2013-14

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Browns are considering releasing Brock Osweiler.

This report comes just 20 minutes after the Browns acquired Osweiler from Houston in a bombshell trade nobody saw coming. It looks like there's a good chance Osweiler will never play a down for Cleveland as the Browns will simply absorb his $16 million salary and move on. Cleveland has all the cap space in the world so the $16 million hit isn't a big deterrent. Perhaps the Browns will package their first-round pick with the 2018 second-rounder they just received from Houston in a trade for Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo.

Bears agreed to terms with Mike Glennon, formerly of the Bucs, on a three-year, $45-million contract.

The deal has yet to be signed, but it is just a formality at this point. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the deal includes $19 million guaranteed, which is a surprising number for a guy the Bears are paying as a low-end starter. It is likely most of that guaranteed money comes in the first year of the contract. Despite signing Glennon, the Bears are still expected to look for a quarterback in the draft.

Eagles agreed to terms with WR Torrey Smith, formerly of the 49ers, on a three-year, $15 million contract.

So much for the "strong likelihood" Smith was headed back to Baltimore. Philadelphia isn't a bad landing spot. Smith provides the clear-out speed the Eagles were desperately lacking last season, and gets to go to work with on-the-rise talent Carson Wentz. Wentz is still an unproven commodity, but will be an infinite improvement on the 49ers' parade of clowns at quarterback. The Eagles still need at least one more impact addition at wideout, either via free agency or the draft.

Jeffrey & T Smith are both pending physical deals for the Eagles, both are still in their prime, early to late 20's and if these 2 can stay healthy, they will give Wentz some large targets other than the TEs the Eagles already have.

Eagles looking to shop Jordan Matthews and former USC draft Agholor, since they were not Howie's and they both have drop-itis!!

Would love for the Eagles to take WR from Washington Ross or Williams from Clemson, Davis of W Michigan if he's there, but he could climb up the charts if the NFL free-agency signings spiral out of control.

There will be a flurry of trades for some QBs now with what's been happening.

Osweiler being traded is a no brainer, but does not bode well for Bill O'Brien as Texans HC. He's yet to develop a QB and keep a starting QB for an entire season. Romo to this team would not make any sense with his injury history, but taking the Redskins QB off their hands could be a decent move.
